Worksop recorded 395 reported crimes in April 2026, according to data released by Nottinghamshire Police.
Violent crime topped the figures with 99 incidents, followed closely by shoplifting at 98 offences. The data suggests retail theft remains a persistent problem across the town centre and surrounding shops.
Anti-social behaviour accounted for 49 reports, while other theft made up 37 cases. Criminal damage and arson reached 32 incidents, with vehicle crime reported 17 times.
Lower on the scale were public order offences (15), robbery (12), and burglary (8). Theft from the person was recorded in 7 cases, while possession of weapons featured in just 5 reports. Bicycle theft and drug-related offences were minimal, with 2 and 1 incidents respectively.
The figures come from police.uk's open data portal, which publishes monthly crime statistics by area. Residents concerned about crime in their neighbourhood can report incidents to Nottinghamshire Police on 101 (or 999 for emergencies).
