  • Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Tip submissions are retained for as long as they have journalistic value.
  • Contact enquiries are retained for 12 months after resolution.
  • Cookie consent records are retained for 13 months, then you are asked again.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access - request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification - correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure - request deletion of your data
  • Restriction - limit how we process your data
  • Portability - receive your data in a portable format
