Bassetlaw District Council has confirmed Council Tax bills for Band D properties will go up by £6.15 from next April, working out to roughly 12p extra per week.
The council's budget for 2026/27 was agreed at a recent meeting. The increase will affect the majority of households in Worksop and across Bassetlaw, though the exact amount varies depending on the band your property falls into.
Those living in council homes will also see their rents rise from 1 April. The increases range from £2.89 per week for smaller properties to £6.46 per week for larger homes. The council says these rises follow the Government's National Social Rent Policy.
The combined effect means many residents will face higher bills from spring. Residents who believe their property is in the wrong Council Tax band can contact the council to request a review.
