Bassetlaw residents can get their moles checked for free at Doncaster Royal Infirmary next week.
The hospital's dermatology team is running a walk-in clinic on Thursday 14 May from 9am to 12:30pm in the Outpatients Department. There is no appointment needed and no charge.
Anyone worried about a mole or unusual skin patch is encouraged to attend. The specialist team will offer advice on the spot. If something needs further investigation, staff will provide information to take to your GP.
Jessica Thew, Dermatology Nurse Specialist, said: "Many people put off getting things checked. This drop-in clinic offers a quick and easy way to speak directly to a specialist and get peace of mind."
Early detection of skin cancer can significantly improve outcomes. Most moles are harmless, but new moles or changes in size, shape or colour can be warning signs.
If you're planning to attend, the Park and Ride at Doncaster Racecourse offers free parking and shuttle buses run to the hospital every 20 minutes on weekdays from 5:50am to 10pm. For more information about recognising changes in moles, visit the NHS website.
