Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust has published guidance on which services residents should use during industrial action scheduled for April.

Patients with NHS appointments should attend unless contacted to say the appointment has been postponed. The trust urges anyone needing urgent medical care to continue coming forward as normal, particularly in emergency and life-threatening cases.

The guidance advises residents to use NHS 111 (available 24/7) for advice, appointments or direction to appropriate services. Local pharmacies can treat conditions including earache, impetigo, shingles, sinusitis, and sore throat through the Pharmacy First scheme, without needing a GP appointment.

For mental health support, people can call 111 (option 2) to be directed to crisis services. Worksop's crisis sanctuary on Hardy Street is open 5pm to 10pm on Wednesdays and Sundays, offering drop-in support for adults experiencing mental health issues.

Self-care information for conditions such as minor burns, conjunctivitis, constipation and cystitis is available on the NHS Nottinghamshire and Nottingham website.
