Worksop Town boss Craig Parry has confirmed striker Oli Greaves will remain at the club next season after impressing during the latter half of the campaign.

Parry is also continuing negotiations with midfielder Aleks Starcenko, who has been integral to the club's recent progress. A meeting between the manager and player took place on Monday, with talks set to continue over the coming days.

The manager expressed satisfaction with his retained squad, though he acknowledged disappointment that some players offered new deals have opted for moves to lower-level clubs offering higher wages.

Sam Wedgbury has been promoted to the coaching staff after previously playing for the club. Parry said the additional resource would help manage the increased workload, with more sessions, organisation and research required at Step 3 level.

On recruitment, Parry plans a mix of experienced signings and young, athletic players who can cover significant ground. He has identified strong targets early and has made one major signing already. He warned that the league is getting stronger, with former Football League clubs like Morecambe joining Step 3, but stressed the focus must remain on improving from last season and staying competitive in every match.
