Worksop Town picked up an important three points on the road with a 2-0 win at Bedford Town in their survival battle.
The Tigers struck early, with Aleks Starcenko finishing a well-worked move in the 15th minute after good work from Lewis Whitham and Vaughan Redford down the left. Worksop dominated the first half and could have extended their lead, with Lewis Whitham coming close on multiple occasions.
Bedford had chances of their own, most notably when Ellis Brown rattled the post in the second half, but Worksop's defence stood firm. The Tigers sealed the victory on the 71st minute when Liam Waldock powered home from the edge of the box after a Whitham assist.
The result showed grit and determination from Craig Parry's side as they continue to scrap for points in the National League North. Worksop's next test came away at Marine AFC, where they would face a tougher challenge.
