Worksop Town grabbed a vital three points against AFC Fylde with a hard-fought 1-0 victory on 22 March. The result was particularly impressive given the visitors' position as league leaders and their strong attacking form throughout the season.

AFC Fylde dominated possession in the first half, with their in-form striker Danny Ormerod seeing plenty of the ball. The visitors repeatedly threatened down the left flank through Adam Lewis, who delivered a series of dangerous crosses. Worksop's defence, led by midfielder Hamza Bencherif, held firm despite sustained pressure.

The Tigers made their moment count just before half-time when Lewis Whitham picked up possession inside his own half and surged forward in determined fashion. His strike took a deflection off a Fylde defender and looped over the goalkeeper to give Worksop a 1-0 half-time lead.

The second half saw Worksop show resilience and composure. Whitham nearly added a second when Vaughan Redford capitalised on a goalkeeper mistake, but his effort drifted wide. Despite late pressure from Fylde, Worksop held firm to secure the win, which moves them further away from the relegation zone in their battle for league survival.

Attendance: 668. Man of the Match: Hamza Bencherif.
