Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting local people to stand as governors to help shape hospital services.

Two public governor positions are available for Bassetlaw, with nominations opening on 21 May and closing on 5 June. The Trust is also recruiting four staff governors.

Governors represent patients, the public and NHS staff, bringing local insight to how the Trust develops services. They hold senior board members to account and ensure the hospital responds to community needs.

Anyone aged 16 or over can stand. You don't need healthcare experience or formal qualifications, but you should be comfortable with email, meetings and speaking with others. Some meetings happen online.

You must be a Trust member to stand (membership is free) and pass basic eligibility checks.

DBTH operates hospitals across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, serving over 440,000 people with more than 7,300 staff.

To find out more and nominate yourself, visit www.cesvotes.com/DBFT2026 from 21 May, or contact the Trust Board Office on 01302 644157 or dbth.trustboardoffice@nhs.net.
